Yes, no kidding, I'm here.  I don't have the words to describe how ELATED I am to finally be here in lovely Oregon.  I flew down today, from Anchorage.  I was so excited, that I couldn't even sleep the night before.  I went to bed, but got up three times, trying to make myself tired enough to finally fall asleep.  I got up and read most often, since I am in the middle of a good book.  I finally just got up at 3:10 am, for a 7:00 flight.

My DH and I flew to Seattle, to change planes and then fly into Pasco.  It's a 2 and 1/2 hour drive from Pasco to Cove.  In Seattle, we had a two hour wait between planes.  It was POURING rain in Seattle - surprise.  But, it was interesting to watch people in the terminal.  We are a very diverse nation, some that wear the most interesting things to the airport.  Of course, I am the most boring dresser on the planet, so I can't point fingers - my usual outfit is a pair of jeans, polar fleece top, and Merrill loafers or sneakers.  I do not like to shop, and I decided a long time ago that I wanted people to accept me for the quality of work I performed or the integrity of my actions - not my clothing style.

I am now sitting in Oregon -  in a comfortable chair  - with my lovely lab at my feet, and the winter weather is a low hum in the background.  I have taken a hot shower, put on some fluffy PJ's, and prepared a very good cup of hot chocolate.  I'm pretty much in heaven right now.  There is a fire in the fireplace, and the house is quiet.
