At Hummie's World, I have completed two lessons - one on automation, and one on learning how to make brushed metal papers and elements.  So, I have a very short automation below, and then a freebie download of brushed metal papers and an element.

Here we go.  Below is a short tribute to my mom:

Mom had a great sense of humor, and I miss her much, especially around Christmas time.  She and her niece had what we referred to as "Flamingo Wars".  They tried to best each other every Christmas in sending each other the most gaudy, horrid flamingo item..........So, it got pretty darn funny.  And everyone in the family looked forward to seeing what was exchanged between them.

Mom was also a voracious reader of books.  She endowed all of her children with a love of books, and she volunteered for years at the school library, ensuring that the students had a great selection of books.  When she passed away, I was able to donate all of her books to the library - they were kind enough to name one of the reading corners after her.  After she passed away, I spread her ashes over Mt. McKinley and the Ruth Glacier.  It was a beautiful spring day, and the airplane ride along the mountain range was a fitting tribute to a mighty force in my life.  Even MY grandchildren tell me that they miss "GRAMS".......Blessings be.

My next lesson at Hummie's World was on making brushed metal effects for paper and elements.  That was a FUN class.  It was easy, and the style is so versatile.  I stuck with the main metal colors of copper, gold and silver - but I am anxious to find some time to try making tinsel in greens, blues and reds.  If you haven't checked out the lessons at Hummie's World, I really encourage you to go check it out - they are truly the best on the web.

Almost Christmas!  Hope that you have a very magical Christmas this year, and the beginning of a very loving and enriching new year.

Sunny
